Through this relationship, JCI and WBAF hope to address some of the world’s most pressing economic challenges together by promoting financial and digital inclusion, female leadership, business development and entrepreneurial skills development.

In 2020, JCI is celebrating 105 years of lasting impact around the world. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, they launched the JCI RISE initiative to rebuild economies, empower the workforce and preserve mental health.

WBAF has also been working to build businesses and societies back stronger in the wake of COVID-19, providing free webinars through the WBAF Business School.

“We are extremely excited to be working alongside JCI,” said WBAF Chairman Baybars Altuntaş. “Through the JCI and WBAF networks, we hope to provide the tools and education people need, so that more enterprising young leaders have access to economic opportunities.”

WBAF was featured prominently at the online 2020 JCI World Congress with a day themed around its goals and mission: “EVOLVE with WBAF.” On November 7, attendees learned from the brightest minds through keynotes, forums and panel discussions, and discovered what it means to be a global leader in a world that is ever changing.

“JCI and WBAF share many of the same values,” said JCI President Itai Manyere. “We look forward to what the future holds with this partnership, and we are eager to rise above today’s current challenges to build a better world together from the ruins of the pandemic.”

JCI will soon be providing more information about how JCI members can foster this partnership at a local, national and international level, in order to open doors and anchor JCI’s actions in economic reality.
