The World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), an affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI), is pleased to officially announce the election of its Board of Directors for the 2026 term, following the WBAF Grand Assembly held on 8–9 December in Istanbul.

The newly elected Board brings together distinguished global leaders representing diverse geographies, disciplines, and areas of expertise, united by a shared commitment to financial inclusion, entrepreneurial diplomacy, ethical governance, and the advancement of the global startup economy.

A Global Mandate for Inclusive Growth
The 2026 Board reflects WBAF’s truly global character, with leaders from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, and reinforces the Forum’s mission to build a trusted, transparent, and inclusive global investment ecosystem for entrepreneurs and angel investors.

Under the leadership of Executive Chairman Baybars Altuntas, the Board will guide WBAF’s strategic priorities for 2026 and beyond, including:

  • Expanding cross-border angel investment networks
  • Strengthening public-private cooperation for financial inclusion
  • Advancing women’s entrepreneurship and youth leadership
  • Supporting governments in building startup-friendly national ecosystems

Looking Ahead
The newly elected Board will officially assume office on 1 January 2026, building on the outcomes of the WBAF Grand Assembly held on 8–9 December in Istanbul, and leading WBAF into its next chapter of global impact through flagship initiatives such as the WBAF Grand Assembly, World Business Angel Investors Week, Global Fundraising Stages, and the expanding WenCHAM – World Chamber of Entrepreneurs network.
