SINGAPORE – The World Business Angels Investment Forum, an affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI), announces the establishment of the WBAF National Commission for Singapore and the appointment of Rina Pua as the Head of Mission of the National Commission.
WBAF National Commissions
Acting as agencies of consultation, liaison, and information and by mobilizing and coordinating partnerships with national partners, including civil society, the National Commissions make substantial contributions to the advancement of WBAF’s objectives and the implementation of its programmes.
Set up by WBAF Senior Associates, Senior Senators, Senators or International Partners in their home countries, National Commissions operate on a permanent basis for the purpose of associating their local early-stage equity markets and startup economies with the work of the Forum.
Together, they constitute a truly global family with an authoritative network of stakeholders, partners and experts, and they play a significant role in liaising with partners, coordinating activities, and promoting WBAF’s visibility at the country level. Senior Associates, Senior Senators, Senators, and International Partners may apply to set up a National Commission in countries where there is no WBAF Country Office. They serve until a country office is opened. WBAF sets up only one National Commission for a given country. The ultimate goal of a National Commission is to establish a WBAF Country Office.
Head of Mission
Each National Commission is chaired by a Head of Mission (HoM), who has final responsibility for all matters in the mission. The Head of Mission is the guarantor of good use of the human resources associated with their respective National Commission.
