The Global Fundraising Stage (GFRS) is an international co-investment platform for investors, startups, scaleups, and high-growth businesses that are raising funds from qualified investors with the ultimate aim of globalising.
The GFRS aims to create a high-quality portfolio with some of the world’s most promising startups and scaleups and, at the same time, create opportunities for co-investment and follow-on investments. The GFRS also connects top startups and scaleups with the best angel investors, making it possible for the startups and scaleups to benefit not only from the investment itself but also from the know-how, mentorship, and networks of qualified investors.
The GFRS is designed to capitalise on the worldwide growth in entrepreneurial activity and venture financing for startups and scaleups and to benefit from WBAF’s extensive network of global investors. The 2020 Global Fundraising Stage, supported by the WBAF Angel Investment Fund, will provide a unique opportunity to 100 selected startups and scaleups to pitch their businesses on 18 February 2020.
It is important to note that the WBAF Angel Investment Fund is only one of many individual investors and investing institutions that will be present at the GFRS 2020.
Free Investment Readiness Workshop and a Free one-on-one Mentoring Session
These 100 startups will have a free Investment Readiness Workshop from the WBAF Business School. They will also have a free one-on-one mentoring session with a qualified mentor of the World Business Angels Investment Forum.
Exhibition Booths to showcase businesses
WBAF is allocating a special area within the 2020 World Congress of the World Business Angel Investors Forum (WBAF 2020) where 100 selected startups, scaleups, and high-growth businesses will each have an area to showcase their business. The mission is to highlight the world’s top startups and scaleups, which, typically, are funded companies in the process of raising €50K – €3M, with the aim of globalising.
