Mexico has joined some of the world’s most technically advanced and ambitious nations in launching a national artificial intelligence strategy, making it one of the first ten countries in the world – and the first in Latin America – to publicly announce a national AI strategy. In doing so, Mexico has joined an elite club that includes the U.K., Canada, China, the UAE, Singapore, South Korea, France, and Japan.
An Economic Cooperation Agreement between the World Business Angels Investment Forum and the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Mexico was signed to empower the Mexican, Latin American and Caribbean economies through entrepreneurship and innovation. Government of Mexico and WBAF agreed to collaborate to boost innovation in the region. As a follow-up of this collaboration, Baybars Altuntas, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors WBAF now joins the Pitch at the Beach in Mexico – the flagship event of Latin America, which will take place in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, 21 – 23 August 2021.
