(Dubai) The World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), an affiliated partner of G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion, has recently entered into an agreement with the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM Global 2023) as its Supporting Partner, signifying the two organizations’ commitment to work together to achieve mutual interests and goals.
As part of the partnership, WBAF will work jointly with the AIM Global 2023 conference team to shape the latter’s agenda and conference topics; invite high-level speakers and business influencers from the WBAF network to enrich the AIM Global 2023’s audience with high-quality discussions; and organize activities related to investment and business topics such as forums, investment roundtables, capacity building workshops, seminars, and training courses.
WBAF, in particular, will hold an exclusive WBAF workshop on May 7, a day prior to the AIM Global 2023 conference. Entitled “What do angel investors learn before they invest in startups?,” this workshop aims to introduce investor mindset and strategies to those considering raising fund from corporate ventures, angel investors, crowdfunding platforms, VCs, banks, public grants, co-investment funds, business plan competitions, family offices, and private equity investors.
To be led by Baybars Altuntas, WBAF Executive Chairman, the workshop also seeks to give the basic principles of investors and to-dos and not-to-dos while raising fund as a qualified entrepreneur and a startup founder.
This year’s Annual Investment Meeting, to be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from May 8 to 10 under the theme “The Investment Paradigm Shift: Future Investment Opportunities To Foster Sustainable Economic Growth, Diversity and Prosperity” and is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, will be participated in by over 600 high-level speakers in more than 160 dialogue sessions.
“This carefully thought-out collaboration strategy between WBAF and AIM provides us with a valuable platform to connect with global investors and entrepreneurs, and to showcase our innovative solutions and investment opportunities on a truly international stage. We look forward to having a fruitful and strong partnership with the Annual Investment Meeting for many years to come,” said Baybars Altuntas, Executive Chairman of WBAF.
For his part, AIM Director-General Walid A. Farghal said: “We are delighted to collaborate with WBAF as we share the same vision: to empower world economic development through engaging both the public and private sectors, local and international, in building the global agenda. We are confident that WBAF will bring immense value in the workshop that they have organized on the framework of this year’s AIM Global.”
Aside from collaborating at events, WBAF and AIM Global will also work together to promote each other through their respective social media and communication channels as well as to share with each other the latest investment reports and publications.
